As a public school under the South Australian Department of Education and child Development (DECD), the Woodville High School Governing Council works closely with the Principal and the Executive team team to determine the school's Guiding Statements and the school strategic directions. There is an Annual General Meeting held in March and there are two meetings per term, beginning at 6.00 pm - 8.30 pm.
The Governing Council is made up of parent, community, student and local council members who are representative of the diversity of the school's population. Further links to the school's culturally diverse populations are enabled through specific parents groups such as Aboriginal, African, European and Vietnamese parent groups who report to the Governing Council. These are excellent forums for wide consultation by the Governing body.
