Woodville High School aims to provide every student the chance to benefit from learning through sport by participating in a sport of his or her choice at the level appropriate to their abilities. All of our students receive equal encouragement and have the opportunity to take part in all the sports on offer. The school has extensive space for both lunchtime sports and organized school competitions.
 
Woodville High School offers an extensive range of sports throughout the year. The schools works very closely with Secondary School SA to provide oppurtunities for every student to participate in sports.
 
We offer the following sports.
 
Term 1
Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Rugby .
 
Term 2 & 3
Basketball, Badminton, City to Bay Run, Football, Hockey, Indoor Soccer, Netball, Soccer, Volleyball.
 
Term 4
Basketball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball.
 
Carnival Competition: A Western District competition, students get the opportunity to particiapte in a sport for a day. This is ideal for students that want to try out a sport in a less pressured competition environment.
 
Knock Out Competition: A statewide sports competition, playing against schools across SA in various sports.  This is an ideal opportunity for students to experience competitions in an elite level. The aim is to win each game, so that the team can progress to the final stage of the Knockout competition.
 
Weekly Sport Competition: A Western district competion, students get the opportunity to participate in a regular competition accross the term. this is ideal for students that want to try out a sport and develop their skills in a less pressured competition environment. The games will be played on Wednesday Lesson 6 to after school. (2.20 - 4.00pm)
 
Students can also access a supervised weights room each lunch time and the gymnasium is open at lunchtime for indoor soccer and other sports. The annual sports day in term one is focal point for passion, endurance and skill. Students can contribute to House points through competing in either the athletics or in fun sports.
